How You'll Grow
As a Consultant, you will work on a range of engagements, using your knowledge and analytical skills to help clients manage risk, implement trade compliance programs, and navigate complex regulatory environments. You will be responsible for working on engagements related to assessing and enhancing export controls and sanctions compliance programs, determining export classifications for clients' products, remediating export controls or sanctions issues, analyzing clients' risk exposure, and investigating sanctions matters.

What You'll Do
- Perform day-to-day activities of projects including interaction with client personnel and internal team members involved in export controls and sanctions engagements.
- Monitor and analyze developments in U.S. and international export controls and sanctions laws including those related to the EAR, ITAR, and OFAC.
- Assist in developing thought leadership content, including articles, white papers, and presentation materials for internal and external audiences.
- Work with clients to assess risk and design/implement responsive controls to help comply with export controls and sanctions requirements.
- Support domestic and international investigations into suspected export controls or sanctions violations in the context of compliance program assessments, voluntary disclosures, audits, and in response to government inquiries.
- Perform detailed export classification assessments for export controls purposes, under both the EAR and ITAR.
- Deliver a high-quality product within established timeframes, such as written analyses, reports, and presentations for clients and third parties that clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and insights.
What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a field of study such as International Business, International Affairs, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Pre-Law or related fields
- 1 years' experience in export controls and sanctions compliance
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability collaborate effectively with internal teams and client personnel under tight deadlines
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with potential for international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong research and analysis skills to support export classification determinations, interpret complex regulations and technical documentation, and clearly convey and justify decision rationale.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely
